Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – CSIR is looking for bright, young Indian scientists with proven record of scientific achievements and ability to take up large responsibility of managing R&D in an innovative way. The positions are in the following Divisions/ Units of CSIR Hqrs :
Innovation Protection Unit (IPU)
Planning & Performance Division (PPD)
Human Resource Development Group(HRDG)
Unit for Science Dissemination (USD)
International S&T Affairs Division (ISTAD)
Posts :
Principal Scientist/ Senior Principal Scientist : 03 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000 grade pay Rs. 8700/8900, Age : 45/50 years
Scientist/ Senior Scientist : 19 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs. 6600/ 7600, Age : 32/37 years
Mode of Selection:
1. The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum; mere possession of the same will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Screening Committee may adopt its own criteria to shortlist the candidates for interview/test. The candidates should, therefore, furnish in the relevant field/column all the qualifications and experience that they have acquired over and above the minimum prescribed qualifications.
2. Advance increments of pay could be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates.
3. In case a candidate is staying abroad, his/her candidature may be considered in absentia by the Selection Committee on his/her written request.

Take print out and send it with DD for Rs.500/- (no fee for SC/ST/PH/ Women and CSIR candidates) drawn on State Bank of India in favour of Joint Secretary (Admn.) CSIR, New Delhi along with self- attested copies of certificates, mark-sheets, testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, experience and caste certificate, if applicable, should be sent in an envelope superscribed “Application for the post of Post code” by post so as to reach The Joint Secretary, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Anusandhan Bhawan, 2, Rafi Marg, New Delhi- 110001
General Instructions:
1. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institutions.
2. Candidates should ensure that he/she possesses the required educational qualification/ experience in the relevant area on the last date of receipt of applications.
3. Completion of Ph.D will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification.
4. The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary.
5. The -ed candidates will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme as introduced by the GOI and as adopted by CSIR.
6. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualification prescribed for that post.
7. Candidate should clearly indicate in his/her application form the post code for which he/she wants to be considered.
8. Wherever grades are awarded by Universities/Institutes in CGPA/SGPA/OGPA etc. system, candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula adopted by the University/Institute and mention the percentage in the appropriate column in the application form.
