Visva Bharati, a Central University and an “institution of national importance” invites application for the following positions :
Deputy Manager (Production) : 01 post
Deputy Manager (Sales) : 01 post
P.A. to Director : 01 post
Copy Editor : 01 post
Professor : 01 post
Associate Professor : 06 posts (UR-5, SC-1)
Assistant Professor : 03 posts (UR-2, SC-1)
How to Apply : Duly filled-in application form in prescribed format with 12 photo copies of filled-in form, and one set of attested photo-copies of testimonials/ certificates and two recent passport size photographs signed in full (at the bottom), by the candidate, should reach the the Registrar, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, Dist-Birbhum, Pin- 731235 on or before 30/07/2013.
General Instructions:
1. Visva-Bharati reserves the right not to fill up the vacancy if circumstances so warrant. Selection for the posts may not be confined only to candidates who apply formally.
2. Essential qualifications prescribed are the minimum and mere possession of them will not entitle applicants to be called in for interview. If the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large and it is not convenient for the University to interview all the applicants, the number of candidates for interview may be restricted to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience.
3. Qualification and experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the University. Relaxation in age and percentage of marks will be allowed, as per rules/orders.
4. Candidates already in employment shall apply through proper channel (or submit formal ‘No Objection Certificate’ during interview, if called for), and also submit release order at the time of joining Visva-Bharati’s service, if appointed. They may however send an advance copy of the application.
5. Counting of past service will not be allowed if applications are not received through proper channel.
6. Selection/appointment/employment will be subject to fulfilment of required qualification, experience etc as also to verification of testimonials, antecedents and past service. If it is found at any stage that any information has been suppressed or wrongly/falsely provided or any fraud has been committed, the application/appointment/employment of the concerned applicant will be rejected/cancelled/terminated summarily.
7. Applicants -ed for appointment may be required to go through police verification before or after joining.
8. Candidates must fulfil essential qualification/ experience on the date of application. All qualifications must have been obtained from recognized University/Institute only.
